Handbags & Gladrags

Ever since I first saw this challenge I've had that song in my head! Well that and Maggie May! I wasn't sure I would get my card for this week's Glitter Geeks challenge finished in time - we're off to London for a long weekend tomorrow so it was now or never! - but I've just about managed it and here it is:
As you can see I chose to interpret the theme literally! I made the handbag shape out of a quite tall tent fold card just by cutting a wedge shape from each side. The lovely paper is Prima Paisley Road and the stamp is from Wild Rose Studio, coloured with Promarkers (and one very bright pink Copic!) For the handle I just threaded a mixture of beads onto some shaped wire and taped the ends together on the inside. The 'fastener' is a Dovecraft brad from a packet I bought because they were reduced - I knew I'd have a use for them one day!

I hope you like it, I would love to own this handbag actually, if only it was real! Well I'd better go and pack some stuff for the weekend, I'll miss having time to craft but we're going to see Arcade Fire tomorrow so that kind of makes up for it!
