A quick visit to 2011's archive!

Hi everyone! Today I want to show off something I made a couple of weeks back that for some reason never made it onto my blog. I was going to give it as a gift to my sister, who has a whole room she uses as a wardrobe, but the trailing lace seemed to me to be a cat hazard (she also has one very mischevious cat) so I was mean and kept it for myself!

I cut the doorhanger freehand from chipboard and painted it gold with acrylic paint. While it dried I coloured some white card with Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet distress inks, and stamped a pattern randomly over with more Victorian Velvet and some gold in places. I coloured the diecut dress form the same way. The letters are diecut also, mounted on some offcuts of paper and then to finish off I just added some pearls, gems, lace and gold highlights.

I love this so I can't imagine why I didn't blog it earlier - but here it is & I hope you like it! I must get round to making more things using these colours!

I'm entering my door hanger into the following challenges:

Mami Doodles - Altered art/home decor
Art Impressions - anything goes
Try it on Tuesday - all your own work (not strictly a card so if I'm not eligible please count me out!)
